This page explains, in plain English, what personal information Fusion Solar collects when you use fusionsolar.ie or ask us for a quote, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. If anything here is unclear, email eoin@fusionelectrical.ie or call 062 85434.

Who we are

Fusion Solar is the trading name of Solar Fusion Electrical Limited, an Irish company based at Cahir Road, Ashwell’s Lot, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, E25 XP76. We design and install solar PV, battery and EV charging systems for homes, farms and businesses across Munster and Leinster, including Dublin. For the purposes of data protection law, Solar Fusion Electrical Limited is the “data controller” of the information described on this page.

What we collect and why

When you ask for a quote

Our contact form asks for your name, phone number and Eircode, and optionally your email address and a message. We use these to call you back, look up your roof on satellite imagery, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, plan and carry out the installation. The legal basis is that this processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract if you proceed.

When you submit the form we may also send you an automated WhatsApp or SMS greeting confirming we have received your enquiry, and an email notification is sent to our sales team. Your enquiry is stored in our customer relationship management (CRM) system so that our team can follow it up.

How you found us

If you arrive at our website from an advert or a link, the address may carry tracking labels (for example “utm_source”, “utm_campaign” or a Facebook click identifier). We store these against your enquiry so we know which of our adverts and channels actually produce customers, and can spend our marketing budget sensibly. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring our own marketing. These labels do not identify you on their own and we do not use them for anything other than attribution.

If you become a customer

To install a system we collect more detail: your full address, photographs and measurements of your property, your electricity meter (MPRN) details, and information needed for grant and connection paperwork. We keep records of the equipment installed, certificates, warranties and invoices. This is necessary to perform our contract with you and to meet legal obligations such as electrical safety certification and tax record-keeping.

Website usage and cookies

With your consent, our website uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the results of our advertising and to show relevant adverts to people who have visited our site. We also embed Google Maps to show our showroom location and use Google Fonts. None of these run until you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time using the “Manage consent” link at the bottom of every page. Full details of each cookie are in our Cookie Policy.

Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site running safely.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We share it only where it is needed to do the job:

Some of these providers (Meta, Google, Vercel, WhatsApp) are based in the United States. Where information leaves the European Economic Area we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to: tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy; correct anything that is wrong; delete your information where we no longer need it; restrict or object to how we use it; or send it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent (cookies and marketing) you can withdraw it at any time without affecting anything done beforehand.

To exercise any of these rights email eoin@fusionelectrical.ie or write to us at the address above. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first so that we do not release your information to the wrong person.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963 (www.dataprotection.ie). We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.

Security

Our website uses HTTPS encryption, our CRM is protected by individual logins and role-based access, and enquiry data is transmitted to it over an authenticated, encrypted connection. Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it to do their job.

Children

Our services are for homeowners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
